Saturday Easter

Happy Easter, Brooklyn!
In Brooklyn's Easter basket, the Easter Bunny brought books, a sippie cup, and snacks. The Easter bunny stopped by on Saturday afternoon because daddy had to work on Easter Sunday!
After Brooklyn opened her basket, we went outside to hunt Easter eggs. She had so much fun, finding the over sized children's egg!

Easter Bunny

Today, we visited the Easter Bunny at Baybrook Mall. We printed out our fastpass on-line and has our picture taken within 10 minutes. OH, so nice! The line wasn't nearly as long as for Santa, but it sure was nice to skip the long line.
Luckily, Brooklyn was excited to see the bunny and didn't scream like with Santa. She cried for just a moment and then the bunny tickled her and we got this lovely picture! (No smile, but at least she wasn't screaming and crying!!)

Daddy's Little Golfer

"FOUR !!!!! ......."
"What do you mean, I didn't get a hole in one?"
"Daddy, I need to change clubs! "
"Can you help me, daddy?"
Brooklyn loves to watch her daddy, tear up the back yard, golfing! She has tried her hand at swinging! Daddy is wishing and hoping that she will grow up to be a professional golfer! ~ Oh the joy!

Brazos Bend

On Friday, March 18th, we visited Brazos Bend State Park with Richard's family. Nana, Papaw, Scott, Devin, Ethan and Gavin rounded out our group!
This was the first aligator that we saw on our sight seeing adventure.
Brooklyn watched an episode of Sesame just a few days before about binoculars. She kept borrowing Gavin's little pair to look at the ground.
Brooklyn wanted to hold hands with Gavin and look for animals in the water.
We looked off the side of the main lake and saw a log with 5 alligators on it, sunning themselves. If you look very closely, the second alligator from the bottom has a baby alligator sitting on its head!
Devin and Scott, taking a much needed break. Overall, the guys walked 2 miles. Everyone decided to turn around and go eat lunch, but I needed a little alone time, so I walked an additional 2 miles around a large lake. Here are a few of the animals that I saw!
When I got back to camp sight, the guys and Brooklyn only beat me by about 10 minutes. Speedy Gonzales, was ready for lunch and to sit down! My feet hurt so bad! Overall, I walked 4 miles.
After eating hot dogs for lunch, Brooklyn played catch with her cousins. At one point, the ball was tossed over her head and barely missed her!

We had so much fun! It was very tiring walking on crushed rock, but it was well worth it to spend time with our family and watch God's amazing creation in action.

RODEO

On March 17th, St. Patty's Day, we went to the Houston Rodeo with the Hunt's to celebrate Jackson's 2nd Birthday. I walked around the Rodeo looking at all the animals and enjoying spending time together. On our trip around the arena, we saw cows, bunnies, pigs, sheep, chickens, turkeys, and goats.
Brooklyn went into the Petting Zoo that was the size of a small room, crowded with at least 75 people. Kids and adults were EVERYWHERE!! We moved over to a corner and were able to pet a few of the smaller goats. We eventually gave up and left the small arena.
After eating lunch at Goode's Barbecue, we went back into the arena and saw more animals and the birthing center. We saw several lambs that were only days old and several piglets that were about a week old.

We enjoyed the time that we spent at the Rodeo! Happy 2nd Birthday, Jackson!

Sesame Street Live

On February 20th, we went with the Hunt's to see Sesame Street Live. We watched all our friends: Elmo, Abby, Bert, Ernie, Big Bird and Cookie Monster dance and sing. Jackson and Brooklyn were so excited about the show. However, Brooklyn spent most of her time with Jarod and Rachel, rather than her own mom and dad! Little Traitor! I guess she thought they had better seats!

Best Buds

Jackson and Brooklyn are best buddies. On Super Bowl Sunday, they hung out and watched the game on their very own couch.
