Every Spring Break with go to Brazos Bend (Robin's Bens- according to Brooklyn) with Richard's Family. This is the 6th or 7th year we have been. This year, we had several new additions: Scott and Jen, and Addison. Sadly, Wanda wasn't feeling well, so she stayed home. But, this year we had: Ron, Ethan, Gavin, Carissa, Scott, Jen, and our family.
We walked around Elm Lake and to the Observation tower - about 4 miles round trip!! The trip was EVENTFUL!! Full of temper tantrums from a tired 4 (almost 5) year old, and sighting of huge GATORS and some babies.
This BIG Gator cam out of the water and cashed 5 others (medium-large) off the bank. He then guarded his territory!!
I was surprised that the bench didn't tip over backwards, it definitely had a lean to it!
At the Observation tower, Brooklyn found several Lady Bugs. We were able to get the Lady Bugs to crawl on her hand, and then they would fly away.
We had so much Fun!!! Hopefully, we will have good weather next year!!!
