Thanksgiving, but CLOSER to Christmas

I know that we are now closer to Christmas than Thanksgiving, but here are photos of Brooklyn's 1st Thanksgiving. Richard had to work, so we stopped by his station!
I think Brooklyn is ready to drive her daddy to work!
Every year, we play Rummikub!! It's so much fun!
Brooklyn looks like she needs to eat more prunes!!

Ready to Crawl

Brooklyn is so close to crawling. On November 1st, she started pulling her knees up. Now, she has started rocking back and forth. She is beginning to move one leg at a time, just an inch! Put every move is PROGRESS!! This is my brother!

Cute As A BUG!

A Lady Bug that is...
Brooklyn made her parents take her Trick-or-Treating to the neighbors house. After many tears and complaints that everyone else gets to go, We finally gave in!
Ok, I lied. I bought her costume in August as soon as the Halloween costumes arrived on the shelves. When it finally got dark, it was well past her bedtime. In fact she had already been asleep for 2 1/2 hours. So you can imagine the complete disappointment she had when I woke her up to go trick-or-treating. She couldn't have cared less, but Mom was the one who had the most fun!
Here are the TWO houses that we went to. Meet Our neighbors!

Trying new foods

It has been one month since we started feeding Brooklyn solid food and it is amazing how good she is at eating! She has liked everything we have given her so far, and she opens her mouth when she wants more! Here are pictures of Brooklyn and all the new foods she is trying: PEAS-Go-Tee Yum, I like sweet potatoes. "More Please"
Ok, I did not do this on purpose. She kept moving and the mess got bigger and bigger, until she finally had .... ... Banana-Stache!

Green Beans

Tonight Brooklyn had her first taste of Green Beans. So far, she absolutely hates rice cereal. She locks her lips so tight that you can't get the spoon in! Hopefully, eating green beans won't be so dramatic! (By the way, I tasted the rice cereal and I too agree that it is disgusting!!!)
For some strange reason, more green beans end up out of her mouth than in her mouth!
Nothing like a green-bean-go-tee!!

Me and My Baby

Within the last few days, Brooklyn has started hanging out with her baby. Her are a few pictures of her with her 1st baby doll! It is the start of beautiful friendship!

Eating with a Spoon

Today Brooklyn ate solid food for the first time from a spoon. She didn't make as much of a mess as I thought she would have. She kept making funny face like "this is totally wrong, where is my bottle!"
Nice a clean: Ready, Set, Go!
Mommy's done!
And, then Daddy takes his turn!
Somehow everything gets a little messier!
Check out these videos!

Baby Dedication

Tonight Brooklyn was dedicated to the Lord at our church (Sagemont). Since I found out a was pregnant I have been looking forward to this day! Having a baby is such a wonderful gift from the Lord and the least I could do would be to offer her life back to Him! I know that no matter what happens in her life, whether it be good or bad, that the Lord will always protect her soul! Whether she leaves us tomorrow or in 100 years, our God has her life in the palm of His hands! He was and is the author and creator of her life and Richard and I have been given the very difficult task of raising, loving and discipline her the way He has invisioned for her. Tonight both of our families were present and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Rollin' Rollin'

I wasn't kidding! On September 18th, Brooklyn rolled over from her back to her tummy. Now she is like a rolling machine. She flips, flops, and rolls all over the place! But what is so funny about this is you put a camera on her and she couldn't or wouldn't roll over to save her life!

3 Month Photos

Brooklyn is now almost 4 months old. It is
amazing how fast time flies by. She coos and talks
in her own language. On August 27th, she rolled
over for the first time from her tummy to her back.
She is working on flipping over from her back to her
stomach. She is so close, that I am pretty sure
it is going to happen soon!
Father-Daughter Bonding! Oh, how she loves her daddy! NO ONE can make her laugh like he does!

She is such a precious sleeper!

Her little chubby cheeks are SO, kissable!

Pizza at Ja-chel and Jax's House

Tonight we hung out with the Hunt's and ate a little Papa John's!
Jackson has some real cool toys and I think Brooklyn is feeling a little jealous and unappreciated! I think Mom and Dad need to step-up and buy her some toys!
